Serve up these healthy, nutritious chicken breasts, trimmed and cut to go perfectly with all your favorite recipes.

Ingredients

450 gmReal Good Chicken Breasts, boneless, skinless
½ tspsambal oelek **
1 tspfresh ginger root, grated
3 tbsplemon juice
5 tbspdark soya sauce
3tbsphoney
½cup water
3 tsppeanut oil
15bamboo skewers, soaked in water for ½ hour
** If you are unable to get Sambal oelek, then get a mixture of red Chilly paste and vinegar.
Here is a delicious recipe for Chicken Satay.
  • Step 01

    Cut chicken into strips. In a large saucepan, combine Sambal Oelek, ginger, lemon juice, soya sauce, honey and water. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and cool immediately.
  • Step 02

    Marinate the chicken for 20 minutes or upto 8 hours in the refrigerator.
  • Step 03

    When ready to cook, pre-heat the grill/oven to 200° C or gas mark 6. Thread equally onto 15 bamboo skewers.
  • Step 04

    Brush the chicken with a little peanut oil and cook the chicken till done.
  • Step 05

    In case, you want to use a pan on your stove, then pre-heat it, brush it with oil, cook the chicken for 3 minutes on each side, pressing it down well.
