|450 gm||Real Good Chicken Breasts, boneless, skinless|
|½ tsp||sambal oelek **|
|1 tsp||fresh ginger root, grated|
|3 tbsp||lemon juice|
|5 tbsp||dark soya sauce|
|3 tsp||peanut oil|
|15||bamboo skewers, soaked in water for ½ hour|
|** If you are unable to get Sambal oelek, then get a mixture of red Chilly paste and vinegar.|
Step 01Cut chicken into strips. In a large saucepan, combine Sambal Oelek, ginger, lemon juice, soya sauce, honey and water. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and cool immediately.
Step 02Marinate the chicken for 20 minutes or upto 8 hours in the refrigerator.
Step 03When ready to cook, pre-heat the grill/oven to 200° C or gas mark 6. Thread equally onto 15 bamboo skewers.
Step 04Brush the chicken with a little peanut oil and cook the chicken till done.
Step 05In case, you want to use a pan on your stove, then pre-heat it, brush it with oil, cook the chicken for 3 minutes on each side, pressing it down well.
